The grape and wine we now know as Beaujolais were first developed by the Romans. Inspired by an ancient goblet, Jacques Garcia turns that idea upside down and wraps it in ribbon. Reinvented as a side table – an ideal role for a vividly creative accent – the scale is right and equally suitable against a wall or floating in a room. The trumpet base becomes the top, complete with a useful gallery. Also an ideal alternative for anyone considering a modern china table.
This table is custom cast resin. The resulting detail and color are outstanding, and resin helps control the weight of large sculptural items. The Beaujolais is nonetheless heavy.
